" . . . if they keep quiet, the rocks will cry out. "

Luke 19:40
NIV

Do screaming rocks

speak for you?

Did you know . . .

that your body is made up of

10 TRILLION cells . . .

and each of those cells have DNA
(Deoxyribonucleic Acid)

which is a molecule consisting of two long chains
of smaller molecules twisted into a double helix

. . .OK! so what?

well, if you uncoiled each DNA helix

it would stretch over 6 feet long!

. . .and if you placed all of the stretched out DNA strands
that are in your body and put them
end-to-end . . .

they will span from one end of the solar system to the other!

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Ephesians 2:10

Just think - there's a plan made by God with your name on it,
and you've been wired by Him to make a unique difference.

You are not an accident.

Do you belong to this awesome God
who you were made by and made for?

. . . God made you for His honor and glory . . .

Anything you do that brings pleasure to God
is an act of worship.

Praise Him!

God is like . . .

. . .a 4-wheel drive vehicle--
He can get you through muddy areas

. . . a high performance race car--
He's got the power

. . . leather seats--
He sticks to you when it gets hot

. . . a Shelby-- He's Fast and Furious

. . . good headlights--He lights the Way

He knows where you are going,
and can "steer" you in the right direction

Praise Him!

Are you a monument to His honor?

What is a monument?

Main Entry: mon·u·ment
Pronunciation: 'män-yu-ment

(1) : a lasting evidence, reminder,
or example of someone or something notable or great

There is a story in the Bible about Jacob.
He was on a journey to find a wife.
He stopped to sleep and had a dream.
In his dream, God promised him
protection and prosperity.

When Jacob woke up, he said,

"GOD is in this place--truly.
And I didn't even know it!
Incredible.
Wonderful.
Holy.
This is God's House.
This is the Gate of Heaven."

Genesis 28:16-18
NIV

And he took the rock that he had used as
a pillow and poured oil over it and
made a monument to God.

Later, Jacob used rocks to build an altar.
He called it a "witness heap" (Genesis 31)

Making monuments to honor God is a practice
that God encouraged.

God told Joshua to take river rocks gathered from the bottom
of the Jordan River that He had parted so that the
Israelites could enter the promised land.

They were used to build a monument, a reminder,
of the power of the Lord.

We build monuments, reminders,
of significant events in our nation's history.

Ray gives us a little history lesson about
the "General" monument in Ringgold, Georgia.

A living monument

Aron shares a significant "God Moment"
that he experienced in San Diego.

All who proclaim that Jesus is the Son of God
have God living in them,
and they live in God.

1 John 4:15
NLT

Do you share the power of God through your life?

How do you praise him?

Luke, chapter 19--
It was the last week that Jesus had on this earth
before the drama of Calvary.

Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey.

"the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God
in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:

"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!"
"Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus,
"Teacher, rebuke your disciples!"

"I tell you," he replied,
"if they keep quiet, the rocks will cry out."

Luke 19:35-40

Do screaming rocks

speak for you?

How can you keep
the rocks from
screaming out for you?

Praise Him!

All who proclaim that
Jesus is the Son of God
have God living in them,
and they live in God.

1 John 4:15
NLT

Be a living Monument for God
