Let
us concentrate on the things
which make for harmony and growth
of our fellowship together.
Romans
14:19 (PH)
As
believers
we share
one Lord,
one purpose,
one future.
How
would you describe yourself?
Chose one pictoral discription or the other!
You can't be neutral on this one.
Don't
chose what you would like to be,
choose
what best describes you right now.

God
created us all very unique and special.
We relish our individuality.
God
wants unity, not uniformity.
But for unity's sake we must never let differences in preferences,
races and personalities divide us.
Let
us concentrate on the things
which make for harmony and growth
of our fellowship together.
Romans
14:19 (PH)
We
are called to focus on what we have in common,
not our differences.

Ariel and Bill--both lefties!

Ray
and Daniel--prefer sitcoms to reality tv

Wendy
and Challis--love keeping a clean house!

Ray
and Adam--prefer dating short girls!

Krista and Nathan--warm
and cuddly friends
We
had 24 pieces of white paper with
red brush strokes of water color.
The
flow of red brush strokes did
not make any recognizable patterns.
On
some papers we wrote in black,
words of honor and praise,
on the other pieces
we wrote names
of those we lift up to God.

Then
we painted the strip of paper
red

--and
wove them all together,
upside down--

And
a pattern emerges.
Building
a bridge is intentional.
Do
not conform any longer
to the pattern of this world.
Romans
12:2a

But
be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Romans
12:2b

We
are all one body in Christ,
we belong to each other,
and each of us needs all the others.
Romans
12:5
Some
times life seems like
crazy mirrors at a carnival;
things are twisted distorted and fuzzy.
But one day God will open our eyes,
and we'll be able to see life as He does.
1
Corithians 13

When
perfect truth comes,
life begins to take on meaning.
And when love comes,
the meaning of life is complete.
1
Corinthians 13

As
we step back from the woven strips of paper,
we can see that all the words
reveal to us a beautiful picture.
That
is what our life in community is about.
Together we reveal the face of God to the world.
Let
us concentrate on the things
which make for harmony and growth
of our fellowship together.
Romans
14:19 (PH)

If
you have an interest in painting, either as a serious artist
or have a budding interest, you are encouraged to bring your
artist paints and canvas. An easel will be available for your
use to facilitate your worship experience.
Don't
see yourself as the creative type? It's OK, you will still
feel blessed during the worship experience at red.
An
offering will be taken. You may participate as you desire.
We understand that red may not be the only church you
attend.
