4 BRIDGES ART FESTIVAL 2003
MEET THE ARTIST BRENT SANDERS

God can do anything, you know --
far more than you could ever imagine
or guess
or request
in your wildest dreams!
He does it not by pushing us around
but by working within us,
his Spirit deeply and gently
within us.

Ephesians 3:20
Message Bible

A church on an island is exiled.
A bridge changes everything.

An Island is comfortable and safe.
But I don't want to live in isolation any more.

So how do I move from fictional reality
to a life of purpose?

Shared stories build a relational bridge
that Jesus can walk across from
your heart to others.

Great opportunites often diguise themselves in small tasks.

Sometimes it feels like you are sticking your neck out!

God will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern
Matthew 6:33

Build a bridge.

red went on a field trip to the 4 Bridges Art Festival.
We went to bless.
We left blessed.
Meet some of our new friends--

Meet Lila.
Her joy for life overflows onto her paintings.
When she was twenty-six, doctors told her she had a few months to live.
With that grim news, she embarked on a spiritual and physical journey.
She was healed.

I believe my healing to be a beautiful, merciful miracle.
Today I know the only thing between me and life's blessings is me,
the burdens I put on myself.
Each day I wake up with a choice.
I choose to live abundantly.
And celebrate all of life's miracles.

MORE OF LILA'S STORY

Meet Tim, from Atlanta. He uses rope to knot and twist unique jute sculptures of dragons and horses.

Meet Theresa from North Carolina.
Her folk art tells stories of home, family and love.
Her work is a blessing, like chicken soup for the soul.

Meet Jen and and her friends!
rocket chicks
topless chicks
SUV chicks
and the reality chicks
hatched in Hull, Georgia, USA

Meet Terrell, a vibrant artist from Texas. His art is
happy
playful
fun.

I make paintings for myself which are a reaction to the circumstances of life.
I consider them a documentation of my personal reality.
Spontaneity is very important to me,
the chance for something just to happen in a painting.

SEE MORE OF TERRELL'S ART

Meet Pattie the chicklady.

I paint chickens.
I paint stories of creation, disappointment, and survival.
"Me and the chickens" celebrate life every day.
If ya'll are hearing something laughing and it's not you,
trust me, it's just us chickens dancing and singing in the barnyard.

Meet Steve of Steve and Zoe Terlizzese

Because of our vibrant relationship with God,
every one of our mosaic collages are designed
with a message of hope, whimsy and encouragement."

WHAT INSPIRES THEIR ART

HOPE

DREAMS

RUBBER
BANDS

We all need to hang on to hope, which we cannot yet see; and we must have dreams to guide us onward. But we also need to have something to hold our hopes and dreams all together in a practical way
-- thus the "rubber bands"!

God speaks. God moves. God is beautiful.

we respond. we create. we worship.
