Ok, haven´t gone cliff jumping yet, but will be when I´m done with this e-mail.

Heres the good news.... With my chopped finger I can still play bass. Huh.... Yeah, last night Jared, Ryan, The Belguims, The Argentinians, Amanda, and I all piled in the truck and went out to the Malpais Surf Camp.
There they had live music and an ..Open Mic.. The music was more or less noise when we got there. Two guitar players, a bass player, and a drummer.

The guitars were out of tune, the bass didn´t have a clue what he was doing, and the drummer, well, lets just say the waves crashing on the beach could keep better time. The bass player well tried to act like he knew what he was doing, but was hitting so many wrong notes.... it was like he was playing a different song, wait, he didn´t know the songs, he was staring at the guitar player the whole time trying to read what he was doing. Well let's cut to the chase! After a hour of noise Ryan and I stepped up. Yep, Ryan is a drummer, and me, well a bass player, not a good one but one that knows how to jam and hit the right notes. We stepped up there with one of the Argentinians, and Jammed OUT!!! We roocked actually! People started listening to the music, clapping and moving to rhythm of Ray´s sick bass skills! Rightouse!!! We jammed for a half hour or so, really fun, made me miss the band guys a lot. :( But anyways, I still can play, its been like 4 plus months since I really played, so I guess this was pretty good for being rusty. After we got off the stage, people were asking us to go back on and play some more, the next couple of people who jumped up there were ok, but still kinda sad. Oh did I mention that we played for an audience of 200 or more, yep pretty big for not having played in a while, nor ever playing with the guys before. Cool though. Great moment in History!

Well I´m off to the waterfalls of Montezuma now, have fun in Chatt Town!

Love,
RAY
